“The inhospitable environment of Isshallr barely sustains the creatures who walk this world. Perpetual icy temperatures, make the outside surface uninhabitable for any living creature. Only those lucky enough to have adapted to months of life inside or underground can sit out the long winters, waiting for those few weeks of summer when temperatures allow for outdoor travel across frozen wastelands. We, the Molle people, are built for life in the cold dark mountain tunnels, relying on our excellent hearing, sense of smell, and bodies covered in thick hair. We depend on the animals living in the underground caverns to help us with daily labor in the quarries and the farming of different types of fungi.”

“The underground community is extensive, its tunnel system reaching far and deep, but the few weeks of tolerable outside temperatures permit us to set foot outside. We use these rare opportunities to make contact with other races and clans, to trade our minerals and stones for rare commodities. The elders say this winter is the longest they have yet seen. None of us know when we will be able to surface once again. All we can do is survive the harsh cold of Isshallr until that day comes.”
